The presence of the ENAC mark on reports and certificates is the assurance of being able to rely on the endorsement by ENAC, international acceptance in over 100 countries and official recognition in the European Union.

These advantages are not afforded to certificates and reports not bearing the accreditation mark.

To raise the international profile of accreditation, the accreditor organisations ILAC and IAF have produced their own marks for joint use with national marks. Bodies accredited by ENAC may use these combined marks instead of the ENAC mark, although their significance is identical to the ENAC mark.

Only those organisations can make use of the ENAC mark or reference to accredited status that are actually accredited. Improper or fraudulent use may give rise to ENAC bringing legal action against offenders.
