ENAC and EMGRISA (Empresa para la Gestión de Residuos Industriales) have signed an agreement to establish a collaboration framework within the accreditation infrastructure scope in order to expand the network of technical experts destined to carry out accreditation evaluations in the environmental sector.

EMGRISA is a waste management company offering solutions for environmental conservation, especially in terms of contaminated soil and water, managing and treating industrial waste and has a team of experts who have developed more than 500 projects nationally and internationally, making this a benchmark company for private and public sector companies.

The agreement was signed on one side by EMGRISA’s general director Paloma Lorente Velázquez-Gaztelu and Alfonso Álvarez Rodríguez, operations director, and on the other side, by Beatriz Rivera Romero, ENAC general director, who highlighted the central role of these experts in the accreditation system:

“The expert role is fundamental in auditing processes. For this reason, ENAC needs to always count on collaborating with professionals with a high level of technical knowledge who are referents and have in-depth knowledge of the assessed activity and can, therefore, make a proper judgement on whether this activity is being carried out with the appropriate level of competence”. So, ENAC collaborates closely with those institutions, research centres, universities, companies, or administrative bodies which are a benchmark in the assessed activity, and which therefore have people with the required competence in each field, as is the case of EMGRISA.

Who can collaborate with ENAC?

Professionals, technical staff from companies and administrations, teachers, research staff, among others, can collaborate with ENAC as technical experts.

In addition, collaborating with ENAC is easily compatible with their usual professional activity since the number of audits to be carried out can be adjusted depending on the professional’s availability.

Currently, ENAC has more than 60 collaboration offers available in all sectors. Environment sector offers can be consulted via the following link.

Advantages of collaborating with ENAC as an expert

Collaborating in ENAC's evaluation processes is an enriching experience as it enables the expert to gain more professional recognition by being part of ENAC’s group of professionals, a community with recognized prestige; it enriches their professional experience by participating in assessments where they carry out new activities and learn about different ways of working; and it enables knowledge exchanges and increases professional networks with the more than 900 experts from all sectors making up ENAC's network of collaborators.
