The Spanish Standardization Association (Asociación Española de Normalización, UNErecently published the UNE 330000-0:2023 standard that sets out requirements for the certification of persons’ scheme operating under industrial safety regulations.

In the industrial safety world, different regulations govern different professionals' activity and include the option that these professionals can access the activity by obtaining certification granted by an ENAC-accredited certification body. For this reason and with the aim of harmonizing the different existing schemes, UNE has developed this standard setting out a series of common elements to be considered by the certification of persons’ schemes operating in this field and that ENAC will use its accreditation processes as the basis.

Therefore, the certification of persons’ bodies working in the industrial safety field must comply with the new standard's specific requirements, in addition to the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard requirements, so aiding the required uniformity action.

Those bodies interested in starting the accreditation process or want more information, please contact Carmen Andrés, Certification and Verification department.
