ENAC supports ODAC's training of technical staff by transferring knowledge and sharing the Spanish accreditation system's good practices

One of the objectives set out in ENAC's statutes is to develop, promote and spread accreditation procedures and techniques and to collaborate in implementing them in other countries, especially in Latin America, which means a policy of actively supporting conformity assessment infrastructures being developed in these countries, by participating in various collaborative projects.

As part of this policy, ENAC and the Dominican Accreditation Body (ODAC) have signed a collaboration agreement to work together in inspections, training and information exchange in order to strengthen knowledge of accreditation and boost the Dominican Republic's accreditation system.

The General Director of ENAC, Beatriz Rivera, and Fernando Antonio Reyes Alba, Executive Director of ODAC, have proceeded to sign the agreement at ENAC's headquarters during the visit by the Dominican Accreditation Body's delegation to Madrid in July.

The agreement sets up collaboration mechanisms for ENAC to train ODAC staff in different technical aspects relating to accreditation activities and processes. To complement this training support, ODAC technical team members may participate as observers in audits carried out by ENAC with prior authorisation of the audited body.
