AT4 Wireless has seen the barriers to them entering these markets lowered, thanks to ENAC's accreditation

The accreditation that ENAC awarded AT4 Wireless as a certification body, according to ISO / IEC 17065: 2012 standard, has been recognized by the competent Canadian authorities and by the American TCB. It is a genuine passport for AT4 Wireless and its customers to export.

"The accreditation enables the quality of the assessment results carried out to be harmonized with the international standards, making it easier for the designation and authorization agencies to globally recognize our work, which is a de facto essential for being recognized as an international certification body", explained Juan Carlos Soler, Manager of the AT4 Wireless Regulatory laboratory

AT4 Wireless provides service to mobile and fixed device manufacturers in various sectors, informing them about the requirements that their products must meet to be approved and accepted in the country/ies where they want to market them. In addition, through its global network of laboratories, it provides testing services for customers in order to certify their products in accordance with current international regulations. Recently, and thanks to ENAC's accreditation, AT4 Wireless has seen the barriers to entering these markets lowered.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, satellite and cable in the United States. Since 1988 the Commission has adopted the regulations for setting up the Telecommunications Certification Bodies (TCB) that are authorized to examine and validate certificates.

In the Canadian case, the Radio Communication legislation sets out very clear requirements for manufacturing, importing, distributing, selling or renting equipment: they must have a technical acceptance certificate.

Such authorizations, according to Juan Carlos Soler, imply that Spanish manufacturers will not need to repeat the controls in those countries if they have AT4 Wireless certificates or reports accredited by ENAC:

"Once the inspection process of the necessary requirements for product certification by AT4 wireless is completed satisfactorily, the customers receives the relevant authorization from the corresponding North American authority, guaranteeing the product enters the market safely conforming with the current regulation and legislation".

Soler explained the experience of having accreditation to enter these markets:

"AT4 wireless offers certification services to the American (TCB) and Canadian (CB) Telecommunication markets that are covered by the supervision and added value the experienced ENAC Auditing Body brings as we continuously improve our work methodology. This experience brings everything required to offer a most efficient single point of contact to customers wishing to enter their Radio and Telecommunications products in the North American market."
