ENAC grants EQA the first accreditation for certification of anti-bribery management systems according to ISO 37001
ENAC has granted European Quality Assurance Spain (EQA) the first accreditation for certification of anti-bribery management systems in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 37001 standard, taking the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard as assessment criteria which is applicable to the certification of management systems and the CEA-ENAC-24 document of specific accreditation criteria for the certification of this type of management system.
The UNE-EN ISO 37001 standard provides specific requirements, applicable to any organization regardless of its sector of activity, for implementing and continuously improving a management and self-regulation model in order to prevent the risk of bribery. It is also an effective mechanism against corruption. Additionally, EQA has been assessed and granted ENAC accreditation to certify criminal compliance management systems in accordance with the UNE 19601 standard, taking, in this case, as assessment criteria the aforementioned UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard, and the UNE 165019 for specific requirements.
Why trust Accredited Certification?
Once the management system has been implemented, and to demonstrate its effectiveness before the different interested parties (investors, shareholders or customers of the accredited body, public administration, courts of law, etc.), ENAC's accreditation guarantees that the certifier has been assessed by an independent and impartial third party in its judgment, and that it has demonstrated specific competence in these activities, in addition to guaranteeing the compliance of the organization and its self-regulation model with the requirements of UNE 19601 and / or UNE-EN ISO 37001.
In addition, ENAC’s accreditation provides guarantees that the accredited body has robust and reliable assessment and decision processes carried out by competent assessed personnel, capable of assessing compliance with the rules and the effective implementation of the management system by its client.
ENAC is in a position to accredit the certification of any management system described in a national or international standard. The accreditation criteria used, set out in the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard, is harmonised with European and international accreditors in line with the respective existing mutual recognition agreements.
