ENAC, in collaboration with MITERD, has developed the RDE-33 document, which sets out the specific criteria for this activity's verification accreditation.

The Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, MITERD, has recently published Order TED/815/2023, which develops Royal Decree 36/2023 establishing a system of Energy Saving Certificates (Certificados de Ahorro Energético, CAE) aimed at implementing and operating the CAE system correctly.

One aspect of the Ministerial Order is the definition of the conditions to be met by companies wishing to be accredited to act as energy saving verifiers, as defined in article 2 of the Royal Decree.

So, ENAC, at the General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines of MITERD's request and following its guidelines, has developed an accreditation scheme (RDE-33) that references the UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17029: 2019 and UNE-EN ISO 14065:2020 standards. This scheme is already available on the ENAC website. Bodies interested in obtaining this accreditation can now apply for it on the ENAC website.
