ENAC's 2017 Activity Report is published

Accreditation in figures 

In 2017 1,788 ENAC-accredited entities brought confidence to Spanish society and economy. Once again reinforcing the value of accredited services as a technical competence guarantee and as a passport for exports.

As for the activity breakdown, at the end of 2017 ENAC had accredited 871 test laboratories, 58 medical laboratories and 160 calibration laboratories, 283 inspection bodies, 163 certification bodies, 196 control bodies, 10 environment verifiers inspectors, 6 greenhouse gas emission trading verifiers, 9 proficiency testing providers and 2 reference material producers.

The 2017 Activity Report also includes ENAC's active role in the international accreditation system. During its intense international activity in 2017, ENAC took part in more than 50 meetings and working groups of different committees of the international accreditation organizations: ILAC and IAF and EA Europe. ENAC also participated in the revision and development process of two new key conformity assessment sector standards: the ISO 17025; to assess testing and calibration laboratory competence, and the ISO 17011; general requirements for accreditation bodies, both published at the end of the year.
