Aselar certification body has expanded its certification of persons accreditation scope becoming the first accredited body to certify liquid petroleum product installers (category I).

The requirements for developing these professionals' activity are within section 4 of the Royal Decree 365/2005, which approves the MI-IP05 complementary technical instruction 'liquid petroleum product installers or repairmen, and installation or repair companies'. This technical instruction establishes that the accredited certification of persons is one permitted way to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the practitioners' competence.

With this recognition, accredited certification of persons is consolidated in the industrial safety sector as a tool offering guarantees to the different public administrations on the competence of the installation, repair, inspection and maintenance professionals, that these activities are carried out, only by people who have been shown, before a competent body - the accredited certifier-, to possess the knowledge, abilities and skills for developing the functions and tasks.
