ENAC accreditation eases access to the Japanese communications sector market
Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has recognized Applus+ Laboratories as a registered foreign certification body for conformity assessment of radio products, thanks to ENAC’s accreditation. With this, Applus+ Laboratories is authorized to certify Wireless equipment destined for the Japanese market in accordance with local legislation, which requires that the certification of radio equipment be carried out by a MIC-designated body.
This new recognition is a true export passport for Applus+ Laboratories and its customers, expanding their certificates' global reach for radio equipment in the most industrialized countries, since, together with Japan, the certification body is already recognized in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
Paqui Asensio, E&E Quality Manager at Applus+ Laboratories, explains the importance of this accreditation' recognition: “The benefit for Applus+ Laboratories is very big. From now on, we can offer this new service to our customers, respond to their needs, and help them, at every moment, to introduce their products to a market as important as Japan’s. With this accreditation, we expand our portfolio and enter the small group of companies worldwide that offer this service. Moreover, this accreditation undoubtedly helps us to continue with our strategic plan in the international certification fields and to especially consolidate our progress in the Asian market”.
Likewise, the Quality Manager highlights the value it brings to their customers, Spanish exporting companies: “This recognition enables easier access to the Japanese market for Spanish manufacturers and distributors who want access for their products. Since, from now on, they will not need to go to a foreign body for this purpose. We would like to emphasize that Applus+ Laboratories always supports local industry”.
Finally, he stresses the support received by ENAC in managing this recognition: "From Applus+ Laboratories, we would like to take the opportunity to thank ENAC for all the work done, guiding us at all times to achieve this recognition”.
